FAQs

Authenticity, Certification & Quality

Are all of your gemstones 100% natural?

We specialize in natural gemstones and clearly identify each stone’s origin and treatment status. While the majority of our inventory consists of natural gemstones, we may occasionally offer laboratory-grown stones. Whenever we do, the product listing will clearly state that the gemstone is lab-created.

At 307 Gem Company, we believe in complete transparency so you can purchase with confidence.

Do your gemstones include a laboratory certificate?

If a gemstone includes an independent laboratory certificate, it will be clearly noted in the product description.

Every loose gemstone sold by 307 Gem Company also includes our Certificate of Authenticity, documenting the gemstone’s:

  • Stone identification

  • Carat weight

  • Measurements

  • Shape and cut

  • Treatment status (when known)

Have your gemstones been treated or enhanced?

Many natural gemstones receive traditional, industry-accepted treatments to improve their beauty and durability. Common examples include heat treatment for sapphires and light oiling for emeralds.

We follow a strict policy of full disclosure. Every listing clearly states whether a gemstone is:

  • Untreated

  • Heat treated

  • Oiled

  • Irradiated

  • Diffusion treated

  • Or has received any other known enhancement

You’ll always know exactly what you’re purchasing.

Sourcing & Ethics

Where do your gemstones come from?

We source our gemstones through carefully selected suppliers, trusted gemstone dealers, ethical cutting partners, estate collections, and reputable wholesalers around the world. Every gemstone is individually inspected before being offered for sale to ensure it meets our standards for quality, authenticity, and beauty.

Are your gemstones ethically sourced?

Responsible sourcing matters to us.

Whenever possible, we work with suppliers who demonstrate fair labor practices, responsible mining methods, and environmental stewardship. We actively avoid purchasing from known conflict regions and continually strive to improve transparency throughout our supply chain.

Shipping, Delivery & Security

How are my purchases protected during shipping?

Every order is fully insured by 307 Gem Company from the moment it leaves our facility until it is safely delivered to you.

For your security and peace of mind:

  • Every shipment is fully insured.

  • Orders ship in discreet, unbranded packaging.

  • Nothing on the exterior identifies the contents as gemstones, jewelry, or other valuable items.

  • Tamper-evident packaging is used whenever possible.

  • Every order requires an adult signature upon delivery to help ensure your purchase reaches you safely.

We take every precaution to protect your investment from the moment it ships until it arrives at your door.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship within the United States.

As our business grows, we hope to expand international shipping in the future.

Returns, Inspection & Guarantee

What is your return policy?

We want you to purchase with complete confidence.

Every loose gemstone includes a 7-day inspection period, beginning on the date your package is delivered.

If you’re not completely satisfied, simply return the gemstone in its original, unaltered condition—including any accompanying certificates or documentation—for a full refund or exchange.

Can I have my gemstone independently verified?

Absolutely.

In fact, we encourage it.

During your inspection period, you’re welcome to have your gemstone evaluated by an independent Graduate Gemologist (GG), GIA-certified gemologist, or another qualified professional.

If the independent evaluation materially differs from our description, we’ll provide a full refund and cover the return shipping costs.

Each item is evaluated individually, and commission rates are negotiated based on the item’s value, rarity, condition, and market demand.

Please contact us to discuss your piece and request a complimentary consultation.

How should I care for my loose gemstones?

To keep your gemstones looking their best:

  • Store each gemstone separately in a padded gem jar, display box, or soft pouch.

  • Avoid allowing gemstones to rub against one another, as many stones are capable of scratching other gemstones.

  • Clean most gemstones with lukewarm water, mild dish soap, and a soft microfiber cloth.

  • Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, and harsh chemicals on delicate or treated gemstones such as emeralds, opals, pearls, turquoise, and other porous materials.

If you have questions about caring for a specific gemstone, we’re always happy to help.
